ALBERTA WATERFOWL HUNTING

If you’re looking for the opportunity to enjoy world class waterfowl hunting in Canada, Prestige Adventures can arrange your outdoor adventure.

We partner with an outfitter with almost ten years experience in northern Alberta; they can provide you a hunting adventure you may not find anywhere within the United States.  This outfitter is a Mossy Oaks Preferred Outfitter; they have been showcased in several outdoor television shows, including Ducks Unlimited, MOJO Outdoors TV, and the Winchester Legends presentations.

Their hunting lodge has been visited by discriminating outdoor writers including a recent article published within Sportsman’s News, the official publication of the Sportsman’s Warehouse.

Their facilities are located within the Peace River area of Alberta which is one of the “premier” waterfowl hunting areas within Canada. This area has been described as “The Bird Capital of Canada” and once you’ve been there, you’ll know why.  Migratory bird counts have been recorded at over 26,000 birds per day.  This is the first perimeter, or tier, of active hunting territories - the birds you encounter are still naïve; they set their feet and drop right into the decoys.

Your lodging accommodations entail two guest houses (they have capacity for eleven people), semi-private rooms (2 per room) with super single beds, living areas, full kitchens, bathrooms, three full meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner), secure Internet access, satellite television and much more. 

Each morning your hunting party (preferred group size would be 5-6 hunters) will be transported to a remote field where you and your guide will set up the decoys and blinds.  You will be hunting private, leased, and public lands (they have access to over 160 square miles), primarily grain fields located within a 60 mile radius of McLennan, Alberta (located on Kimwan Lake).  You will see more birds in one day than many waterfowl hunters will see all year long.

There are two all inclusive packages available, a three day hunt (three nights lodging) and a full six day hunt (six nights lodging).  Packages prices are $2750 USD for the three day hunt and $4950 USD for the six day hunt plus 5% Goods & Services Tax.  Prices (based on a party of four or more) include professional guide service, retriever dogs, blinds with decoy spreads and the chance to experience some truly awesome waterfowl hunting.  Non-hunters are welcome at $150 USD per day.

Prices also include your hunting license and waterfowl stamps.  Gratuities are not included but certainly welcome – they help us build the team who ensures that you have a successful hunt.  Season begins on September 1, 2010 and runs through to the end of October.
